26th New Stewart Video Rentals
In the UK, Masterminds is now available to rent, and in the US Dad Savage is similarly available.

Interesting point here is that 'Masterminds' had a US cinema release last year but not in the UK, and vice versa for 'Dad Savage' which had a very limited opening in the UK but failed to get one in the US.

Check out the links for plot synopses and reviews of both these recent Stewart films.

Blythe Danner Quits Miller Play

The New York premiere of Arthur Miller's play "The Ride Down Mount Morgan" has apparently hit a bump. The actress BLYTHE DANNER had been rehearsing with her co-star, PATRICK STEWART, who plays a smooth talker with one too many wives.

But Ms. Danner dropped out of the cast last week because of a "personal family manner," said CAROL FINEMAN, a spokeswoman for the Public Theater. Her departure means that "The Ride Down Mount Morgan," which opened in London in 1991and was scheduled to open at the Public on Tuesday, will now be delayed for at least several days. There was no word yesterday about who would replace Ms. Danner. Her agent did not return telephone calls for comment.

Patrick has recorded the narration for 'Return to the Centre of the Earth' a new album due for release in January 1999 by ex Yes member Rick Wakeman.

Rick may mark the album release with a UK concert at Wembley.

1st Stewart's role in new Arthur Miller play
In 'The Ride down Mt. Morgan' due to premiere at the Public Theater off Broadway on 27th October, the action centers on a man (Stewart) whos married to two women: One, Blythe Danner, his wife of 25 years, and another wife of 10 years, as yet uncast.

The play places the excesses of the Reagan 80s in the context of human relationships: A man with two wives and lives is visited by both as he convalesces in a hospital bed after an auto accident that jars his conscience as much as his body.

Its a marvelous leading role of a very charismatic and opinionated, clever guy, who just happens to be a bigamist. I see it as a parable about all human relationships. (Hes) a man who wants everything, and one has to ask Is it appropriate that a man should have everything? Stewart said.

Its about what mans needs are, and how he gets them satisfied, and if its possible to get them satisfied with one person, and how they change over the years.
